Bathura Preparation Time : 2 hrs Cooking Time : 15 min
Ingredients 2.5 cups All Purpose Flour,1/2 cup Yogurt, 1/2 tsp Baking Powder, a pinch of baking soda, 1tsp Sugar, 1/2 cup oil, a pinch of Salt. Method
1In a bowl add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well and sieve. 2.Add yogurt and sugar and about a cup of water and mix gradually to make a soft dough by light kneading. 3 Add oil into the dough and cover the dough with a wet cloth. Keep it aside for an hour. 4 Roll dough into small size balls. 5Cover and keep to ferment for ten minutes. 6Flatten the balls and roll into five inch diameter flat circular shape. 7 Heat oil in a shallow pot and deep fry bhaturas on high flame till light brown on both sides. Serve hot with cooked chick peas (Chollas)
