Methi- Masoor- Dal Preparation Time : 20 mins Cooking Time : 40 mins
Ingredients
Methi seeds-25 gms.,Masoor dal- 50 gms.Turmeric powder- One teasthingy,Oil-One teasthingy,Ghee-One teasthingy,Jeera- Two Teasthingys,Red Chilly powder a pinch, Salt- One Teasthingy,Lime Juice - One tablesthingy, Hing- One teasthingy Method 1Soak Methi overnight in one cup of water. 2Put four times water to one quantity of Masoor dal in a pot and add the soaked Methi. 3Close the lid and cook till soft. . 4Add salt and lime juice. 5Put Ghee and oil in a shallow pan and heat. 6Add Jeera, turmeric powder, Chilly powder and Hing to it,(do not burn the masala). 7 Season the cooked masoor dal with this and stir well.
Serve Methi Masoor Dal with hot rice or, chapatti ,
